If there is any team that has gotten more attention than any other NFL squad, it's the Philadelphia Eagles, grabbing headlines.
There have been multiple storylines that have caught the media's attention. A.J. Brown's cryptic posts always have media members losing their minds. The struggles of the offense under coordinator Kevin Patullo have led to his name being called for firing, not even halfway through the season.
With the trade deadline two weeks away, Brown's name has been discussed, as many believe he wants to leave for another team that will throw him the ball more. There has been a mixed response from people in Philadelphia: some don't want to trade him, while those on the outside think it has caused a distraction.
How does the owner of the Eagles, Jeffrey Lurie, feel about it? Lurie had some thoughts to share.
Lurie speaks out on A.J. Brown trade rumors
Philadelphia's favorite reporter from The Athletic, Dianna Russini, got a chance to catch up with Lurie during the NFL owners' fall meeting to ask him about Brown. Russini worded it as if Brown walked into his office and asked for a trade. How would he respond? Lurie answered how Eagles fans would want it.
“We do what’s best for the team,” Lurie said. “We don’t even consider it seriously unless it’s best for the Eagles. We will always do what gives us the best chance of winning big. Everything else is secondary.”
Russini followed up by asking him about why the Eagles always have internal conflict within the team. Lurie corrected her that it's not a conflict, it's intensity.
“It’s not conflict. It’s intensity,” Lurie said. “The players respect it. I like intensity. The players are intense. Howie’s intense, I’m intense, the coach is intense. Every week, every situation, we approach it with intensity.”
With so many personalities meshing, it can be chaotic at times, but Lurie doesn't mind everything that comes with that locker room.
“We encourage it. We want different personalities,” Lurie said. “Sometimes, in trades or in free agency, we’ll bring people in that complement those that we have. They’re different on purpose. We don’t want sameness.”

The Eagles will be without Brown for the Week 8 New York Giants game with his hamstring injury, which has only intensified trade talks. It doesn't seem to be an option for Philly, unless a good deal comes along that's best for the Eagles.
