Mason Greenwood could land Man Utd a massive windfall

Manchester United are set to land a huge windfall with Mason Greenwood ready for a Red Devils reunion.

Greenwood, 24, has been impressing in Ligue 1 - where he is currently on the books at Marseille. However, he dazzled Barcelona scouts during a recent 6-2 rout against Le Harve, according to The Sun.

And if the Catalan giants were to make a move for the former United striker, it could set up a reunion with ex-team-mate Marcus Rashford.

Rashford is currently on loan at Barcelona, but that move could be made permanent. And a source told The Sun: “Barca could end up with two of Europe’s hottest strikers for a bargain price.”

United are set to land 50 per cent of any sell-on fee by Marseille - who they sold him to last summer.

He has previously been linked to Barcelona, after impressing in Spain during a loan spell with Getafe - where he scored 10 goals and made six assists in 36 appearances.

Greenwood was suspended by United in January 2022 after he was charged with attempted rape, assault and controlling and coercive behaviour before they were dropped in October 2023.

United launched an internal investigation and decided he wouldn't play for the club again, prompting his move to Spain the following summer.

Hansi Flick is also full of praise for his man: "He's very quick. He combines with his team-mates well and with confidence, and he's only going to go from strength to strength as he understands them better.

"He is already delivering 100 per cent of what I expect from him."
