Throughout the week, Aaron Glenn repeatedly refused to name the starting quarterback for Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals, citing a competitive advantage. “I can’t tell you that,” Glenn said on Friday, via Rich Cimini of ESPN. Tyrod Taylor was limited during practice and was officially listed as questionable in Friday’s injury report.

According to Adam Schefter, the Jets have downgraded Tyrod Taylor from questionable to out for Sunday. As a result, Justin Fields will take over as the starting quarterback against the Cincinnati Bengals. Fields returns to the starting lineup after being benched in the second half last week and has a chance to prove the critics and doubters wrong.
