Justin Fields
Justin Fields may have thought he’d never line up under center for the New York Jets again following a public dressing down from owner Woody Johnson, but that didn’t last long.
#Jets owner Woody Johnson: "It’s hard when you have a quarterback with the rating that we’ve got. … If you look at any head coach with a quarterback like that, you’re going to see similar results. …If we can just complete a pass, it would look good." pic.twitter.com/5fN0dsVEUl

Having said earlier in the week that Tyrod Taylor was a possibility to start while also nursing a persistent knee injury, Aaron Glenn has ruled Taylor out for Sunday, meaning Fields gets the nod to start once again.
In just six starts for the Jets, Fields has turned in some of the worst performances in team history. Fields logged a 1.0 quarterback rating against the Bills earlier this season, and later took nine sacks and threw for a net -10 yards against the Broncos before he found himself benched after throwing for just 46 yards on 6 of 12 passing last week.
Prior to last week's game, @nyjets QB Justin Fields said it was time to open things up and throw the ball down the field.
He followed that up by throwing just one pass over 20 yards before being benched after the half.
On the season, Fields had thrown nine such passes, which is…

That prompted Johnson to say publicly that any team in the league would have a similar record to the Jets with such quarterback play, before adding it would be good if Fields could “complete a pass”.
If you were thinking about placing a wager on Gang Green with Taylor under center, you may have just changed your mind knowing that it’s Fields. But if you do decide to put your lunch money on the line, check out our friends here for NZ platforms you can trust.
For Fields, this is a chance to proven not only “the doubters” wrong, but the biggest doubter of all. His Boss.
Having said ahead of last week’s game that it was time to open things up on offense and throw the ball down the field, we saw him attempt just one pass over twenty yards before being benched at the half. If ever there was a time for Justin Fields to let it rip, it’s this Sunday against Cincy. It could be the last chance he gets to show he deserves to be a starter. If it’s more checkdowns, dumpoffs and a 4 yard per attempt kind of day, he’ll have no right to complain if the Jets go in another direction for the rest of the day.

Glenn was Born in the Bronx, New York and has followed the Jets religiously despite being stationed in several different countries and time zones around the world. He now resides in England and has been a JetNation member since 2005. Glenn will bleed green with the rest of us through the highs and lows.
