Mohamed Salah has been in the news all week after one of the more tumultuous weeks of his Liverpool career.
The Egyptian was disappointing against Manchester United last weekend, ultimately being withdrawn by Arne Slot with the Reds needing a goal.
Salah paid for the poor performance with a spot on the bench in midweek against Eintracht Frankfurt, but looked a long way off the pace during a 15-minute cameo.

There was controversy as Salah appeared to head straight down the tunnel at full-time, and the 33-year-old followed that up by deleting mentions of Liverpool from his social media on Thursday morning.
As Rousing The Kop exclusively revealed on Friday, Liverpool have downplayed any talk of rift with Salah, and he was back in Slot’s XI for Saturday’s trip to Brentford.
As the outside world questions exactly what is going on with the Reds’ Egyptian King, Liverpool fans let him know exactly what they think of him just minutes into the Brentford clash.

Liverpool fans belt out Mohamed Salah song

Barely two minutes were on the clock when the travelling Kop could be heard loudly belting out Salah’s song.
It felt as though supporters were making a clear point to both Salah and the outside world. The No. 11 is a bona fide legend at Anfield and a few off performances will not change that.
Salah started brightly against the Bees, and after a strange few months it will hopefully have meant something to him to hear the backing of the Liverpool fans.
Now all we need is the form of last season to return.
Minor improvements from Salah vs Brentford
Salah’s early season form has been one of the most worrying aspects of the campaign so far.
If anyone is allowed some grace for a period of poor play, however, it is the Egypt captain. He has more than paid his dues at Anfield.
Nevertheless, Salah is paid very handsomely at Liverpool to do what he has always done best: put the ball in the net.
Unfortunately, that has dried up this season. And although there were some positive signs on Saturday, he still has not been able to come good in that respect.
It was a bit better in West London, with some of Salah’s link up with Florian Wirtz in particular looking good. Those fans would love to see a goal, but they’ll have to wait a little longer at least.
