Last week's 31-0 win over the division rival Las Vegas Raiders was the Kansas City Chiefs' most dominant performance in recent memory, and it may have been their best offensive showing of the season.
The team got back star receiver Rashee Rice from a six-game suspension, and the offense rolled to a four-touchdown, 434-yard performance as quarterback Patrick Mahomes had his full complement of weapons for the first time all season.
Rice had quite the debut, logging seven catches for 42 yards and two touchdowns. Teammate Xavier Worthy, who filled in as Kansas City's top wideout in Rice's offense, logged three catches for 35 yards and added a 13-yard run as well.
And while Worthy had a relatively quiet game, that didn't keep him from getting noticed by the NFL, which announced the second-year WR had been punished for his actions during that Raiders game.
The NFL fined Worthy $11,593 for taunting during the third quarter of that Week 7 matchup.
The incident happened when Worthy seemingly dropped the ball on Raiders cornerback Darnay Holmes and stared him down as he stepped over him. Worthy and the Chiefs weren't flagged for taunting, but Holmes was penalized for holding, though it was declined.
Worthy missed two games at the beginning of the season after taking a hard hit from tight end Travis Kelce that resulted in a separated shoulder.
In five games this year, Worthy has recorded 16 catches on 26 targets for 180 yards and a touchdown. He's also got 66 yards and a touchdown on six carries out of the backfield, and he's four yards shy of being the eighth Chiefs player with 250 or more yards from scrimmage this season.
The Chiefs lead the NFL in that category; the next-closest team only has five.
