Liverpool's title chances are hanging by a thread already, having lost four of their opening nine games for the first time in 32 years.
All of the defeats have, incredibly, come consecutively, as Brentford's 3-2 win continued the Reds' recent woes.

Arne Slot's side had won every game before losing to Crystal Palace at the end of September - and that kick-started a collapse.
Since then, they have been beaten by Galatasaray in the Champions League and Chelsea and Manchester United in the Premier League.
A convincing 5-1 win in midweek against Eintracht Frankfurt looked to have potentially reignited some life into Liverpool.
However, they've fallen to another defeat at the Gtech Community Stadium and crumbled back down to earth with a bang.

No team has gone on to win the Premier League title having lost four in a row in 40 years, meaning the reigning champions now have a huge challenge to defend their crown this season.
And they're going to have to make history if they are to get their hands on the trophy again this time around.
Liverpool made the worst possible start to the game as Dango Ouattara volleyed in from a long throw-in.
Kevin Schade then doubled the Brentford lead before half-time, but Milos Kerkez struck in stoppage time to reignite hope.
However, Igor Thiago's penalty regained the Bees' two-goal advantage to seal the win, albeit after Mohamed Salah piled on the pressure with an 89th-minute strike.
It was Salah's first goal in seven games, but it wasn't enough as Keith Andrews' side held on to a huge three points.

Saturday night was a history-making night for all the wrong reasons for Liverpool, as they lost to Brentford.
It is the first time since 1970 that the Reds have been beaten in five consecutive trips to London in the top-flight.
They have also now conceded 14 goals in their nine Premier League games this campaign, letting in three at the Gtech.
Slot's side didn't concede their 14th goal last season until the 16th matchday of last season.
On top of that, Liverpool are now just the fourth reigning champions to lose four consecutive games after Leicester in 2016-17 (5), themselves in 2020-21 (4) and Manchester City last season (4).
And they have already lost as many league games this season as they did in the entirety of last term.

'Tough to take'
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk told TNT Sports post-match: "Disappointed about losing here.
"We know what their strengths were and what they were going to try to do. We needed to be spot on with the quality they had.
"It was a disappointing night overall for us. Tough to take but it's the reality and we need to keep going."
He added: "It's the reality that we lost today. We have the next game on Wednesday against an opponent [Crystal Palace] who already made our life difficult this season.

"We have to turn our mindset pretty quickly to be ready for that. They will come to Anfield to hurt us even more, but this is a tough one to take. We can't deny that. It's not an easy moment.
"We were trying to build on that performance against Frankfurt and this was not a nice evening to have."
