Fabian Hurzeler turned down the chance to at least partly blame refereeing decisions for his side’s defeat at Old Trafford.
[Albion](https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/?ref=au) players argued with Anthony Taylor on two notable occasions during their 4-2 reverse.
Luke Shaw appeared to holding on to Georginio Rutter as the visitors lost possession ahead of United’s third goal.
Then there were arguments that substitute Patrick Dorgu should be red-carded for a foul on Yankuba Minteh at 3-0.
Taylor showed yellow, a decision backed by his video assistant Michael Oliver.
The Premier League later confirmed what seemed to be the case at the time – that Dorgu did not prevent a clear goalscoring opportunity because the ball was already in the hands of goalkeeper Senne Lammens.
To a question which appeared to be about those two decisions, Hurzeler addressed the first of them and dismissed it.
He said: “I will never make the referee responsible for our defeats.
“It's our responsibility. We have to make it better.
United wanted a penalty for a foul by Max De Cuyper on Amad at 0-0.
The Premier League confirmed De Cuyper’s touch on the ball as Amad cut inside meant it was not a foul.
