Kevin Schade senses that Brentford ‘can beat anyone’ if they continue doing the basics

Kevin Schade spoke about a 3-2 triumph for **Brentford**against **Liverpool**in front of their fans.

Mikkel Damsgaard drove a brilliant through ball between **Virgil van Dijk**and Ibrahima Konaté to assist the forward for the side’s second strike of the game. The hosts continued to bombard their opponents with long throws, long balls and direct, physical play that put them under serious strain.

Even though **Mo Salah**scored a late goal for the Reds to pull them back to within one goal of their opponents, they were wildly second best on the day, and Schade’s side deserved all three points.

The German grabbed 11 goals in the Premier League for the Bees in the previous campaign, and he had forged a strong relationship with Igor Thiago as the team evolves beyond the front two of **Yoane Wissa**and Bryan Mbeumo.

He is enjoying his football, and the 23-year-old is happy to be a part of the project under Keith Andrews that is proving people wrong in the post-**Thomas Frank**era.

"It was hard. It is very hard against Liverpool every time but we know especially at home that we can hurt them like every team and that's what we did. I think we made it tight with 3-2 in the end, we could have played it better but in the end it is deserved.

"Damzy and me, we have a special connection. I know he can pass like this so I just go deep and he can do the nice passes.

"In general I think the biggest part of my career right now is to be healthy and play games and play 90 every time. I think in general, that is the biggest part.

"I think if we get the basics right we can beat anyone. Obviously they are the better team in general but we knew we can hurt them and that's what we did."
