Three linebackers with Alabama football roots will be eligible to play in the NFL on Sunday after Saturday transactions.
The Atlanta Falcons signed Ronnie Harrison (Alabama) to their 53-man roster from their practice squad, the New York Jets activated Quincy Williams (Wenonah) from injured reserve and the New Orleans Saints elevated Eku Leota (Auburn) from their practice squad to active status.
A safety at Alabama and for most of his eight seasons in the NFL, Harrison has transitioned to inside linebacker, and the Falcons promoted him from the practice squad with inside linebacker Divine Deablo going on injured reserve after sustaining a broken arm on Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers.
Since joining the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Harrison has played in 84 regular-season games and started 48. But he has not played this season.
The Falcons play the Miami Dolphins at noon CDT Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Williams had played every defensive snap for the Jets when he sustained a shoulder injury during New York’s third game of the season on Sept. 21. Williams missed four games, the minimum required stay on injured reserve.
Williams is in his fifth season as a starter for the Jets and earned first-team All-Pro recognition in 2023.
The Jets play the Cincinnati Bengals at noon Sunday at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati.
In his third NFL season and first with the Saints, Leota will be eligible to play for the second time in 2025 as a practice-squad elevation. Each NFL team can elevate two players from the practice squad to active status for every game.
Leota had nine special-teams plays in New Orleans’ 26-14 victory over the New York Giants on Oct. 5.
The Saints play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 3:05 p.m. Sunday at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
