THE [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/?ref=au) begin their FA Cup journey this Sunday as they travel to Millbrook in the first round.

Helen Bleazard’s side will have their sights on another record-breaking cup run this season, having reached the third round in each of the past two campaigns.

They will be looking to avoid an upset against the Hampshire County Women’s Football League Division One side, who reached the first round proper with a 3-0 win over Tiverton Town in the third qualifying round.

Last season, Bournemouth reached the third round after defeating Bishops Lydeard, Saltash United and AFC Portchester, before they were knocked out by Ipswich Town.

They were unable to pull off an upset in the third round, after they reached that stage for the second time.

They were beaten 1-0 by the Tractor Girls, who were, at the time, in the National League Southern Premier Division, while the Cherries were in Division One South West.

That followed a 6-0 defeat the season previous at the hands of Charlton Athletic, but Bournemouth will be optimistic of going further once again this term.

They will have to produce a professional performance against a team four tiers lower than them, with Millbrook currently playing in the Hampshire leagues in the seventh tier.

AFC Bournemouth travel to Millbrook on Sunday, October 26, kick off at 2pm.
