Aaron Gordon drops a legendary quote after his absurd 360 alley-oop dunk

Aaron Gordon’s dream start to the season continues.

The Denver Nuggets forward Gordon produced one of the highlights of the year thus far during Saturday’s game against the Phoenix Suns. In the second quarter at Ball Arena in Denver, Colo., Gordon ran a give-and-go play with his star teammate Nikola Jokic that ended up with an easy look at the rim.

When the pass arrived from Jokic, Gordon threw down a breathtaking 360 alley-oop dunk. Here is the wild video.

The Nuggets ultimately went on to win by a final score of 133-111. After the game, Gordon was asked about the dunk by Altitude Sports and produced a legendary quote.

“I was trying to get on [SportsCenter’s] Top 10,” said Gordon. “ESPN. Da na na, da na na.”

The former No. 4 overall pick Gordon appears to be getting even more athletic in his 12th career NBA season at age 30 years old. After competing in three Dunk Contests over the years (and producing some of the most spectacular slams in history), Gordon has now graduated to defying gravity in the middle of games.

Gordon also dropped jaws during Denver’s season opener on Thursday with a 50-point game (including some obscene three-point makes) against the Golden State Warriors. It is clear that the ex-NBA champion is very much on a mission this season.
