Tottenham Hotspur have only one win in their last five matches in all competitions as they were held to a 0-0 draw against Monaco in the Champions League midweek, with the run deflating their positive start to life under Thomas Frank.
Everton stand next in the team’s way and Spurs will look to capture all three points when they meet this afternoon at 14:00 local time on matchday nine of the Premier League at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Here is how the Lilywhites are expected to line-up for the fixture.
Goalkeeper – Guglielmo Vicario is expected to keep his place in goal ahead of Antonin Kinsky.
Defenders – Pedro Porro and Djed Spence are likely to continue at right back and left back, respectively, whereas with Cristian Romero still injured, Kevin Danso is expected to get the nod in central defence alongside Micky van de Ven.
Simons to start on the left flank
Midfielders – Joao Palhinha and Rodrigo Bentancur have made the double pivot their own at Tottenham Hotspur, and even combined to score against Aston Villa last weekend. The duo are expected to start together once again, whereas Lucas Bergvall could also play in a largely unchanged team as the number 10.
Mohammad Kudus could also retain his place on the right wing, whereas £51 million summer signing Xavi Simons is likely to start on the left wing replacing Wilson Odobert in the process.
Forward – With Dominic Solanke still injured and out of the squad, Richarlison might continue to lead the line.
