Welbeck's view on defeat at a 'really difficult' Old Trafford

Danny Welbeck expects [Albion](https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/?ref=au) to learn from a “really difficult” game at Old Trafford.

The former Manchester United striker scored his fifth goal in his last four outings.

But his free-kick could not help prevent a 4-2 defeat.

Welbeck said: “That’s the best side we have faced in a while.

“They were really organised in their play and really structured in how they wanted to play against us.

“They have always got incredible players who can take the game by the scruff of the neck.

“They really punished our mistakes and it was a really difficult game, one we can look back on and analyse and see where we can do better.

“I do believe as a group and a team we can come here and get three points.”

Welbeck saw an early effort saved as Albion made quite a bright start.

He told Sky Sports: “There was a part of the game early on when we kind of dominated the ball and then a few silly mistakes led to goals against us.

“We are up against quality players so we know they can punish you at any time.

“So being a bit sloppy and coming here to Old Trafford, we are not happy about that.

“Other than that, we felt we could have come here and got the three points.

“It’s a learning curve for us.”
