Brad Miller, the club’s Chief Operating Officer, addressed Newcastle United supporters at a meeting last month.
Newcastle United’s Chief Operating Officer Brad Miller has admitted to the club’s Fan Advisory Board that St James’ Park’s future is yet to be decided.
At a fan event last year, Miller - the head honcho behind the stadium decision - promised an outcome in early 2025. November is nearly upon us and Toon fans are none the wiser on whether the Magpies will rebuild or revamp the current site.
NewcastleWorld understands the club’s preferred option is to build a new “super stadium” on Leazes Park. A multi-purpose venue would boost United’s financial coffers, with Miller claiming last year a complete rebuild could double revenue.
Plans to knock down 145 years of history have been condemned by critics and some local residents. Friends of Leazes Park set up a petition that gained over 28,000 signatures.

While volumes remain relatively low, it was acknowledged that the subject continues to generate interest and sentiment across the wider fanbase.”
