Liverpool could not take its European form into the Premier League as the Reds were beaten 3-2 by Brentford in West London.
It's the club's fourth league defeat in a row following the losses to Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Manchester United in recent weeks.
Liverpool went 2-0 down in the first half through goals from Dango Outtara and Kevin Schade, before Milos Kerkez pulled one back on the stroke of half-time.
After the break, Brentford restored its two-goal advantage through an Igor Tiago penalty. A late, great strike from Mohamed Salah gave the Reds hope, but they could not find another equalizer.
