Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes has spoken about the confidence Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti has given him.
Guimaraes has emerged as a key player for his country, with Ancelotti starting him in all four of their international matches this season.
The former Real Madrid, Chelsea and AC Milan manager took over the Selecao in the summer and it is a huge show of faith in the Newcastle man when a manager of his calibre has placed so much trust in him.
And that has given the 27-year-old huge confidence.
"Of course, playing at the World Cup for my country will be a dream," Guimaraes told the matchday programme.
"The country with the most World Cups in the world, never been out of the World Cups, always present there. For me, I'm playing in my best form for the Brazil national team so far.
"Carlo Ancelotti has given me so much confidence to play my game. He talks to me, understands my role here at the club as well. I'm playing now for Brazil with almost the same position I play with my club.
"He's a good guy, gives me so much confidence, and I hope this can continue. We have some friendlies soon in England so I hope we can get some Geordie support for me and Joe."
Guimaraes has had to balance playing for Brazil, and clocking up a huge amount of air miles, alongside playing in four competitions for the Magpies this season.
Trips to Japan and South Korea earlier this month, followed playing at high altitude in Bolivia last month, and it could have posed a dilemma for Newcastle boss Eddie Howe.
But Guimaraes insists it is something he will never complain about.
"To be fair, it was horrible," Guimaraes added of the long trip to the Far East at the start of October
"Far away, struggling with the flights, flying more than 15 hours. But I will never hide myself away from my club and I will be ready for every game.
"Since I've been here, I just want to play for the club, play football for the fans and everyone here. It's part of the job and I will never complain.
"I just have to keep going, because there are games and games to play. You don't have time to rest - everything is about the games so you just have to be ready for the next one."
