Tim Sherwood is fascinated to see how Sean Dyche handles working with the best squad of his managerial career at Nottingham Forest this season.

Dyche was appointed Ange Postecoglou's successor as the Reds suffered a dismal start to the season.

Postecoglou failed to win any of his eight games in charge after replacing Nuno Espirito Santo in the hotseat in what has been a dramatic start to the campaign.

Forest have now turned to Dyche to transform their fortunes and he got off to an ideal start as he oversaw victory over Porto in the Europa League in midweek.

Dyche has developed a repuation for being a manager who favours pragmatism over style as seen during his spells at Everton and Burnley.

But TV pundit and former Spurs midfielder Sherwood is intrigued to see how he will handle the Reds who are blessed with some exciting attacking talent.

“This is the best squad he’s ever worked with,” Sherwood said.

“You see Burnley and Everton there. I think this group of players is probably the deepest in quality he’s ever worked with, so it will be interesting to see how he wants to play.”
