Manchester United are weighing up a shock move for Jobe Bellingham, which could see United bring him to the Premier League in the January transfer window.

Bellingham, brother of England and Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham, has struggled to settle following his move from Sunderland to Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

The midfielder was hailed as one of Dortmund's marquee signings when he joined them in a £25m deal in July. But he has failed to score in 11 appearances and made just two league starts for the German giants before Saturday's meeting with Koln.

To make matters worse, there are growing tensions off the pitch between Bellingham's dad, Mark Bellingham, and Dortmund's sporting director, Sebastian Kehl. The pair clashed at the start of the season, when Bellingham's dad took exception to his son being substituted on his Bundesliga debut.

The incident led to England World Cup legend Geoff Hurst labelling Bellingham senior a 'disgrace'. And the scenario has led to speculation about Bellingham's future.

United are keeping close tabs on the situation, with a view to exploring a possible loan move for the 20-year-old in January. But it remains to be seen if Bellingham is willing to consider a move elsewhere, or if he will look to stick it out at Dortmund in the hope the move comes good.

United boss Ruben Amorim is keen to bolster his midfield options, and is also considering a loan move for England and Atletico Madrid star Conor Gallagher.

But he won't have big money to spend after the club's summer splurge, hence he is keeping tabs on the English duo, both of whom are struggling for regular game time.
