Marcus Rashford will likely be on the move next summer as he looks for a permanent transfer away from Manchester United.

When Marcus Rashford was paraded in front of the media at his Barcelona unveiling back in August, the Manchester United loanee conceded it would be tough for him to produce his best form "because it’s a new country and a different league".

Still, he bullishly added: "I accept the challenge."

β€Œ

Accept the challenge he certainly has, with 11 goal contributions in 12 outings for the Catalan giants.

β€Œ

His output in La Liga - five goal contributions in nine games - is some way off his sparkling Champions League record this season, with the England international recording six goal contributions in just three European outings, including a stunning double back on English shores against Newcastle on matchday one.

If he was waiting for the right time to explode onto the La Liga scene then there's no time like the present, with Barca set to face off against Real Madrid in El Clasico this afternoon.

Rashford isn't expected to play for United again and so it is imperative a buyer is found next summer, whether that be Barcelona or another club. The last thing United want is to be forced into sanctioning another loan exit for a player who already has just two years remaining on his deal.

If the United academy graduate can produce his best form in the biggest games while out on loan, there's every chance interest in him will grow as he seeks a permanent move away from Old Trafford.

El Clasico is undoubtedly one of the biggest occasions in the footballing calendar and if Rashford can sparkle at the Bernabeu this afternoon then United's chances of offloading him next summer will only increase.
