The New Orleans Saints are reportedly open to trading two of their wide receivers ahead of the Nov. 4 trade deadline, but Chris Olave doesn't appear to be one of them.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, both Rashid Shaheed and Brandin Cooks are rumored on the trade block, but the Saints are actually trying to extend Olave, which suggests he isn't available.
When it comes to Shaheed's value, Schefter reports that the Saints would like a third-round pick, which is a high price for a wide receiver who has never tallied more than 719 receiving yards in a season and is in a contract year.
"The New Orleans Saints have said they're not interested in trading away one of their wide receivers, but league sources believe Rashid Shaheed can be had for the right price," Schefter reports. "Teams continue to call the Saints regarding the trade availability of Shaheed and fellow receiver Chris Olave, sources told ESPN."
"Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks also is a candidate to be traded ahead of the NFL's Nov. 4 deadline, according to sources," he added. "If dealt, it would mark the fifth time in his 12-year career that Cooks has been traded."
When it comes to teams that might get involved for Shaheed and Cooks, Schefter mentions the Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos and Buffalo Bills as three teams "most aggressively pursuing a wide receiver" ahead of the deadline.
"The three teams that appear to be most aggressively pursuing a wide receiver before the deadline are the Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos, according to sources," Schefter wrote.
The Steelers need to add an adequate No. 2 behind DK Metcalf to help Aaron Rodgers, so no surprise there.
The Bills haven't gotten what they expected out of any of their top-three wide receivers, Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and Joshua Palmer.
Meanwhile, Denver could use more experience in a wide receivers room that is filled with unproven and inconsistent options outside of Courtland Sutton.
Shaheed is obviously the more attractive option, as Cooks has been on the decline for years now.
Shaheed would add a big-play element wherever he lands thanks to his downfield prowess, although he won't be going anywhere if the Saints don't move off their third-round pick demand.
