It has been quite the 2025 season for Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown.
Most of the talk has been regarding whether he would be traded from Philly, with many reporting he's unhappy there. His cryptic posts have certainly not helped matters, as everyone is trying to read into what's going on with the veteran receiver.
Brown has had a great run with the Eagles, earning two Pro Bowl selections and three second-team All-Pro honors since joining the team in 2022. He's been the catalyst in helping the Eagles make two Super Bowls in the last three years, winning one in February.
This season has been an entirely different story with 29 receptions for 395 yards and three touchdowns in seven games. He's on pace for missing the 1,000-yard mark for just the second time in his seven-year NFL career.
Throughout the week, there has been concern that he will miss his first game of the season due to a new hamstring injury that popped up. Will the Eagles have to roll with their number one receiver for their Week 8 matchup versus the New York Giants?
Brown's status for the Giants rematch in Week 8 is not good
In three of the Eagles' practices this week, Brown did not participate, as he was seen in street clothes. The final Week 8 injury report confirmed that Brown would be out of the game with a hamstring injury.
It's the same injury Brown had to deal with last year that cost him three games after the season-opening game against the Green Bay Packers. He would go on to play the rest of the year, except for the final match against the Giants, when the starters got to rest.
Replacing Brown in the game will be undrafted rookie Darius Cooper, who was a star at Eagles' training camp. Cooper was just activated from the IR after missing time this season with a shoulder injury.

The Eagles' offense will look much different in the passing game with Brown out, but they have dealt with this before and will be able to work through it.
