Will Brock Bowers, Jakobi Meyers return in Week 9? Latest injury updates on Raiders stars

The Las Vegas Raiders were already reeling this season, but injuries to tight end Brock Bowers and wide receiver Jakobi Meyers have made things even tougher.

Bowers suffered a knee injury in Week 1 and after trying to play through it for three weeks, the Raiders shut him down and the star tight end has missed three games in a row.

Meyers was absent for the Week 7 contest against the Kansas City Chiefs due to knee and toe issues, which marked the first game he has missed this season.

With the Raiders enjoying a bye this week, it gives both players an extra week to get right without the possibility of having to miss another game.

But will they return out of the bye in Week 9? Here's what we know.

Will Brock Bowers return in Week 9?

The first positive sign for Bowers' chance of returning in Week 9 was the fact that he was practicing for both of the Raiders' bye-week sessions.

Also, head coach Pete Carroll revealed that Bowers is indeed expected to return coming out of Las Vegas' bye.

"Raiders HC Pete Carroll told reporters that TE Brock Bowers and WR Jakobi Meyers should return for the Sunday Nov. 2 game against the Jaguars after the team’s bye week," ESPN's Adam Schefter wrote on X.

So, it looks like Bowers will make his long-awaited return next Sunday.

Will Jakobi Meyers return in Week 9?

According to ESPN's Ryan McFadden, Meyers is expected to return in Week 9 after a one-game absence.

"Meyers has 29 catches for 329 yards in six games this season. He missed last Sunday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs because of knee and toe injuries but is expected to be available to play when the Raiders return from their bye in Week 9," McFadden reported on Sunday morning.

Like Bowers, Meyers was also present for both of the Raiders' bye-week practices, so that's another positive sign for his chances of suiting up.
