Jack Grealish's attitude in training has been hailed by Everton team-mate James Tarkowski. The English winger has been in inspired form for the Toffees after arriving over the summer.

Grealish made history when he moved to Manchester City in 2021 from Aston Villa for a staggering £100million and that price tag was a heavy one. He struggled to be impactful at the Etihad regardless of the silverware he won.

This summer, Grealish sought a temporary exit and arrived on the blue half of Merseyside. He has become a talismanic figure under David Moyes with Everton, bagging four assists and a goal so far in the Premier League.

A £50m non-obligatory buy option is present in his loan deal. Much has been made of Grealish's attitude away from the field of play but team-mate Tarkowski is just as impressed with the 30-year-old off the pitch in training as he is on it.

"He has been [so good]," admitted Tarkowski, speaking on That Peter Crouch Podcast. "I think I've realised there's another level of footballer that I've never played with before.

"There is something about Jack when he gets the ball at his feet. There is something about his composure, his calmness, you just get this feeling that he's never ever going to lose the ball.

"If he does, it's like a shock. But we've got good people around him who are helping him out. And he's helping us out in a way, too. He just seems like a good fit.

"I mean, he comes with a massive reputation Jack. Both on and off the pitch. But since I've met him he's been top top class off the pitch and top top class on the pitch.

"He's great around the place. Gets on with everyone. Really personable. The amount of times I've seen him parked outside the training ground signing autographs for ages.

"There's way more kids turning up for autographs now than there was six months ago! I'll tell you that. The fans love him but he's sort of showing that back to them with the way he treats people.

"It's been great. As I say, there are other people around him who are doing really well and helping him out as well. But he has been exceptional."

It isn't just Grealish's colleagues who are smitten with the player. Manager Moyes has also consistently sung Grealish's praises after his early influence.

Moyes said in August: "He is even better than I thought. He probably needs a bit of love and attention. He needs the games as well. Hopefully he starts building on it and he gets even better as the season goes on. He is making a big difference.

"So all credit to him. He is playing the minutes he may not have had in recent years. You know, he's so good. What Jack gives us is something just on the edge, which, hopefully it's on the edge of creativeness and maybe scoring goals."
