Although the Wings tied for the worst record in the WNBA at 10-34, Bueckers produced a stellar rookie season.
After averaging 19 points, four rebounds, and five assists per game, she was rewarded with Second-Team All-WNBA recognition and the Rookie of the Year accolade.
“I am very grateful for everyone who voted and saw me fit for Rookie of the Year,” Bueckers said. “I have always felt like individual awards are a way to acknowledge the team around you and that is exactly what this award means to me.
"My teammates, coaches, support staff and everyone from top to bottom in the entire Dallas Wings organization played a huge part in this.”

The Wings hope better times are ahead with Jose Fernandez set to be named the franchise's new head coach. The 53-year-old enjoyed a long and successful tenure in charge of the University of South Florida's women's basketball program.
Fernandez led the Bulls to 12 20-win seasons across his quarter of a century leading the program. He will replace Chris Koclanes, who was one-and-done as the Wings' head coach.
Fernandez's USF exit was confirmed by the school's athletics CEO, Rob Higgins, on Thursday. He said in a statement: "Over the past 25 years, Jose has been an exceptional leader, mentor and advocate for the University of South Florida.
