The San Francisco 49ers’ inactive list is out for today’s game against the Houston Texans:

QB Brock PurdyRB Jordan JamesWR Ricky PearsallC Jake BrendelDE Bryce HuffDE Yetur Gross-Matos

DT CJ West

That means rookie Jordan Watkins is active for the first time this season. The wide receivers for Mac Jones consist of Jauan Jennings, Kendrick Bourne, Demarcus Robinson, and Skyy Moore. We’ll see what kind of role, if any, Watkins has on the road.

It’ll be a thin defensive line group for Robert Saleh and Kris Kocurek with Gross-Matos, West, and Huff inactive. San Francisco generally carries nine d-linemen on gameday. Today, it’ll be Mykel Williams, Jordan Elliott, Kalia Davis, Sam Okuayinonu, Alfred Collins, Kevin Givens, Robert Beal, and Trevis Gipson. West is a healthy scratch.

That also means the secondary will be at full strength, with Deommodore Lenoir, Renardo Green, and Upton Stout all active despite being listed on the injury report during the week. We will see if Stout or Chase Lucas starts at nickel.

Linebacker Luke Gifford is also active after being limited during the week with a hamstring injury.
