Tom Brady received a rude welcome upon calling into ‘FOX NFL Sunday’ before Terry Bradshaw helped lessen the blow.

Ahead of an NFC East clash between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles, FOX studio host Curt Menefee — who led a touching on-air tribute moments later — couldn’t help but take an unsubtle dig at Brady.

While discussing the Giants’ defeat in last week’s 33-32 defeat to the Denver Broncos, Menefee joked that Brady would’ve loved for New York to experience a similar collapse in their two Super Bowl run-ins.

As quarterback of the New England Patriots, Brady infamously suffered two gut-wrenching losses at the hands of the Giants in Super Bowl XLII and Super Bowl XLV. It came before Brady shared his biggest takeaway on Jaxson Dart, which has nothing to do with what he does on the field.

“I tell you what, Tom Brady is probably wondering why the Giants couldn’t do that the two times he faced them in the Super Bowl,” Menefee quipped. “Tom’s on the call for the Giants-Eagles game at the top of the hour. Does that bring back bad memories? Sorry.”

Bradshaw swiftly rushed to the defense of Brady, chiming in: “Oh, that’s wrong.” The 48-year-old, to his credit, took the verbal jab in stride, replying: “Yeah, thanks. I appreciate that. I love talking about soul-crushing losses to start my day. It’s like 12:20 and … perfect. Thanks for having me on, I appreciate it!”

Bradshaw made sure to give Brady his due praise later on in the segment, fondly describing his colleague as the greatest quarterback of all-time. “Hey look man, you’re the best that ever played that position in the NFL,” he began.

“And now the Giants have Jaxson Dart at quarterback, and he brings all that energy and everything. Your impressions of what you see, and all the last couple of games.”

Brady appeared to appreciate the kind words, adding: “Great point TB, the original TB. He’s got all those QB1 traits I look for. And I think what I like is all the things that come out of his mouth.”

In Brady’s eyes, he and Dart share several intangible traits that bode well for the young signal-caller’s budding career. “I always look at quarterbacks and go, ‘How would I answer that question?’ When I hear Jaxson Dart, especially after last week’s loss at Denver, it was the same way,” Brady explained.

“Taking accountability for mistakes, he also is this competitive kid. He said to me on the call this week, ‘Tom, I’m not into moral victories. So I’ve gotta make better plays, the team’s counting on me’.

“This organization loves him a lot. And they are all invested in him and there’s a lot of reasons to be.”

Dart has shown flashes of brilliance through the first eight weeks of the 2025 NFL campaign.

Entering play Sunday, the 22-year-old completed 71-of-118 passes for 791 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions while also rushing 37 times for 178 yards and another three scores.
