Vitor Pereira dragged away after furious reaction to Wolves fans' 6-word chant vs Burnley…

Wolves manager Vitor Pereira was involved in a furious clash with supporters following the full-time whistle of the 3-2 defeat against Burnley. The result leaves Old Gold rock bottom of the Premier League table, with pressure mounting on the Portuguese boss.

Goals from Jorgen Strand Larsen and Marshall Munetsi looked to have rescued a draw after the home side fell two goals behind against Scott Parker's Clarets, through a Zian Flemming double. A late Lyle Foster dagger saw the visitors leave Molineux with all three points.

The home crowd were quick to make their dissatisfaction apparent following the final whistle, as Wolves fell to a seventh defeat from their opening nine Premier League fixtures. They remain the only team in the English top-flight yet to win a match.

Wolves Fans Aim Brutal Chants at Pereira and His Players

As the players and manager trudged over towards the home supporters to applaud the suffering fanbase, they were met with less-than-complimentary chants. Per talkSPORT, the Wolves fans could be heard letting the players know 'you're not fit to wear the shirt'.

Not stopping there, they let Pereira know what they think of his management this term. After showering the players with chants, the Molineux faithful chanted: "You're getting sacked in the morning," towards the boss.

This sent Pereira into a rage, and he had to be held back and eventually dragged away from the stands as he looked to confront the disgruntled supporters. Watch footage from the stands below:

It has since been reported that the 57-year-old is not in any immediate danger after speculation surrounding his future with the English club surfaced online. If results don't improve significantly, that stance could well change despite the new contract he signed just weeks ago.

During his post-match press conference (per Sky Sports), the Wolves manager addressed the incident. He explained what sparked the reaction whilst also acknowledging the justified frustration of those in the stands:

"We understand the frustration of the people and supporters but what I must say, if we fight united with them, we can win games and compete and achieve our targets - without them, it is impossible.

"If we win two or three games in a row, things will change. Two months ago they sang my name, because together with the work we did last season, we are competing in the Premier League and not Championship. Now they sing my name to sack me.

"If I was a supporter, I feel proud of my team because they worked and showed the spirit, mentality and ambition to win the game, even losing 2-0 [after 30 minutes]."
