Green Bay Packers’ star defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt suffered a knee injury in Week 4, causing him to miss Weeks 6 and 7. He was limited during this week’s practice, prompting the Packers to rule him questionable for Week 8 on the final injury report. Wyatt was in the midst of a breakout fourth season before the injury, and the defense plays much better with him in the lineup.
Green Bay Packers defense gets massive boost for Week 8
Green Bay Packers, Warren Brinson
Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt (95) celebrates his sack of Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff during the fourth quarter of their game Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Green Bay Packers beat the Detroit Lions 27-13.
The Packers released their inactive players list at 5:50 pm CT, ruling out six players for Week 8. The good news was that Devonte Wyatt was not among the six players listed and is good to go against Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. As a result, Wyatt is back in the starting lineup after missing the last 2.5 games with a knee injury.
K Brandon McManus is ACTIVE for the #Packers.
The inactives are:
WR Dontayvion Wicks
K Lucas Havrisik
OL Jacob Monk
OL Donovan Jennings
DL Lukas Van Ness
DL Warren Brinson

Warren Brinson suffered a hamstring injury during Friday’s practice and was initially ruled questionable. Unfortunately, Brinson will miss his fifth game this season —the first due to an injury. Expect the Packers to rely on Karl Brooks and Nazir Stackhouse as the two healthy backup defensive tackles alongside starters Devonte Wyatt and Colby Wooden.
