Brown has also voiced dissatisfaction with his role on the field. After Week 7 against the Minnesota Vikings, where he caught four passes for 121 yards and scored two touchdowns, he posted a cryptic message on Instagram: âUsing me but not using me.â
The post came after a game in which he had only six targets despite his big contributions. His second touchdown was a 26-yard pass from Hurts in the fourth quarter. During that play, Brown shouted, âJust throw the fâing ball!â showing visible frustration on the field.
This was not his first social media expression of frustration this season. In Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he caught only two passes for seven yards and posted a Bible verse on X about handling disappointment.He later deleted it.
Brown acknowledged that he sometimes lets frustration get the best of him but said his posts are not personal attacks on teammates.
Reports also mentioned a players-only meeting after a loss that involved Brown, Hurts, and running back Saquon Barkley. Brown later said he did not recall a formal meeting and only spoke briefly with teammates as he was leaving.

Hurts has stayed calm in public, emphasizing the team over individual issues. When asked about Brownâs posts, he said, âI just keep my focus singularly on the collective.â The media described this as a âmasterclass in chilly focus,â showing Hurts is careful not to escalate the situation.
Brown missed the Eaglesâ Week 8 game with a hamstring injury. He is expected to return after the Week 9 bye.
