Tavernier impressive in superb Cherries performance vs Forest: Player ratings

It was a game of good performances across the pitch, but there were also a number of standouts in what was a comfortable 2-0 victory for Bournemouth over the Tricky Trees.

The Daily Echo rates the Cherries players in their win at Dean Court.

**Djordje Petrovic: 7**

Not a lot for Petrovic to do for much of the game, as Forest were largely kept at arms length. But when called upon he was decisive in his area, coming to claim crosses well, and made some smart saves.

**Adrien Truffert: 8**

The left back was excellent. He didn’t give Ndoye any space on the Cherries left and Truffert was brilliant overlapping with Antoine Semenyo in attack. A top performance from a new signing who has been superb this season.

**Marcos Senesi: 7**

A good showing from the Argentine in a game where the Cherries limited Forest well.

**Veljko Milosavljevic: 8**

The young Serb showed maturity beyond his years at the heart of the Bournemouth defence. He dealt particularly well with Taiwo Awoniyi after he came on at half time, not letting the big striker get into the game and matching him physically. An impressive performance.

**Alex Jimenez: 7**

The young Spaniard looks to have also settled into the Cherries side very well, and he looks to be nailing on his spot in the team as weeks go on. A good showing where Callum Hudson-Odoi was kept quiet before he was replaced, and Omari Hutchinson wasn’t allowed to make too much of an impact.

**Tyler Adams: 8**

The American continues his fine form in midfield. Adams helped the Cherries control the game, and he has been so key to everything Bournemouth have done well this term.

**Alex Scott: 8**

A player I feel has stepped up a level this season. Given a good run in the team, Scott has been impressive next to Adams – and to keep Ryan Christie, who was so key last season, out of the team is testament to the Englishman’s start to the campaign.

**Antoine Semenyo: 7**

Another good showing from a player bang in form. A constant threat on the Cherries left, he was busy going forward – but also strong defensively when needed.

**Justin Kluivert: 7**

The Dutchman has started the past two games for the Cherries and looks to be finding his form back in the team once again. He kept finding spaces in between the lines for Bournemouth, and in an excellent first half display, Kluivert was pulling the strings in attack.

**Marcus Tavernier: 9**

A top performance from Tavernier. A brilliant goal to score direct from a corner, not something you see every day. An all-around excellent showing from the forward, he was involved in much of what was so good for Bournemouth going forward in the first half, and he was industrious as ever when Forest had possession.

**Junior Kroupi: 8**

A stunning strike from a young player who seems to be full of confidence. He has taken his chance in the Cherries team with both hands with Evanilson out injured – three goals in two starts is superb form for a 19-year-old who hadn’t played in a top flight league before this season.
