Did Aaron Rodgers deny jersey swap with Jordan Love after Packers beat Steelers?

Ahead of the Week 8 game between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers, Jordan Love and Aaron Rodgers were expected to swap jerseys after the final whistle.

We know that because Rodgers and Love, who were teammates with the Packers a few years back, both expressed a desire to do so during the week.

“Packers have always been a little weird about swapping (jerseys) — don’t know what the policy is — but if there is one it would be Jordan Love," Rodgers said, according to TMJ4's Ashley Washburn.

"I would love to swap jerseys with him. But who knows. They’re breaking out those throwback jerseys out. We’ll see. I like to hold onto mine, so I’ll see what he wants to do. But I need one — Forsure," Love said, via WFRV Local 5's Kyle Malzhan.

After the Sunday night game was over, the two quarterbacks met in the middle of the field but there was no exchange of jerseys and some believed Rodgers might have declined to do so.

Did Aaron Rodgers deny jersey swap with Jordan Love?

We would highly doubt that Rodgers denied Love the jersey swap at the end of the game. After all, there is no animosity between the two signal-callers, who still keep in touch years after Rodgers and the Packers parted ways.

Instead, it's likely Rodgers wants to do it in private rather than of in front of the cameras on the field after the game.

It's also possible the Steelers don't want Rodgers giving away the hideous 1933 throwback jersey, or it's even possible Rodgers wants to keep it for himself and instead will give Love one of the normal Steelers jerseys.

Either way, there is no way Rodgers denied Love the jersey swap that both were clearly interested in before kickoff. We couldn't fathom someone being that petty.

The end result of the game was the Packers winning fairly handily, 35-25.

The Steelers were staked to a 16-7 lead going into the half, but the Packers came out on fire in the second half and dominated Pittsburgh over the final two quarters.
