Son of Chelsea legend gets his first England call-up as his rise continues

A son of one Chelsea legend has just received his first England call-up as his rise to the top continues.

At least, that is what we are hoping for whilst watching his development but of course, we must help keep any expectations and pressure on the young player low for now.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea close in on new Front of Shirt Sponsor and the name that is expected to be announced on the shirts!!

His Dad was Thiago Silva, so of course everyone is going to have some big expectations of Iago Silva! Thiago actually has two sons playing in the Chelsea academy right now and they both seem to be doing very well.

Iago is already a member of Chelsea’s academy having joined his dad’s former side.

The teenager is part of the Blues’ under-15 side, winning multiple tournaments at youth level.

His older brother, Isago, plays for the older age group U18s side in the Chelsea academy right now and also looks to be progressing very well.

Imagine both of them one day playing for Chelsea?

Iago is obviously eligible to play for either Brazil or England, having residency in the UK and roots in Brazil.

Iago has been called up to the England U15s training camp and has posted about it via his official Instagram account, as I put out on my X account last night.

Sharing a snap of himself at St. George’s Park, he wrote on Instagram: “Proud moment to be invited to my first England camp. The hard work continues.”

Brother love

We are lucky to have the Silva brothers in the Chelsea academy and I would love to see them both come through the ranks and play for the club one day, if they prove to be good enough of course.

Thiago himself is still playing the game, but I can see him becoming a top coach when he does retire as well and may even find himself managing his sons. What an incredible footballing family.
