Jason Cundy has criticised one Chelsea player following his side’s defeat to Sunderland over the weekend.
Chelsea took the lead against Regis Le Bris’ men through Alejandro Garnacho but went on to lose the game 2-1.
During the match, Cundy was quite critical of Joao Pedro’s performance, with the Brazilian failing to score once again.
However, he was not the only player who disappointed the former Chelsea defender with his display.

Jason Cundy disappointed with Moises Caicedo performance in Sunderland loss
Moises Caicedo has been one of Chelsea’s best players this season. In fact, the midfielder has probably been the best outright.
Against Sunderland, though, he had a bad game, according to Cundy, who gave his verdict on talkSPORT.
Speaking about the Ecuadorian, the pundit said: “Some of the performances individually, and I’m looking at, I can’t criticise Caicedo because he has been magnificent for us, but that’s one of his worst games I’ve seen him play in a long time.”
Caicedo’s performance in the defeat to Sunderland does not change much. The 23-year-old has not missed a single Premier League game for the Blues this season, and he will continue to be a mainstay in Enzo Maresca’s starting XI.
Again, he has arguably been the top performer at Stamford Bridge during the current campaign.
Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch recently praised Caicedo, hailing him as a “really good player”.

Moises Caicedo made barely any tackles against Sunderland
It is hard to disagree with Cundy’s assessment of Caicedo’s latest performance. The stats show that the Ecuador international really did struggle over the weekend.
Many would consider Caicedo as the best tackler in the Premier League. According to WhoScored, he is making 3.2 tackles per game in the top flight this term, which is the highest average in Chelsea’s squad.
However, against Sunderland, Caicedo only made one tackle, as per Sofascore. It was not like him.
Chelsea fans will be hoping that it was just a one-off, which is likely to be the case. The former Brighton & Hove Albion man has too much quality and been too reliable for his Sunderland performance to become a recurring theme.
Chelsea’s next game is against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup, and you would expect Caicedo to get some much-needed rest that day.
