SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Los Angeles Lakers hit the road for a hard-fought 127-120 win over the Sacramento Kings. Austin Reaves led the way with a career-high 51 points to tag along with 11 rebounds and nine assists.
The lead switched sides throughout most of the night. The Lakers controlled the scoreboard in the first quarter before giving up the lead in favor of the Kings in the second quarter. The second half brought a flip-flop of who was on top, but the Lakers proved to have the better scorers tonight.
Reaves' performance was much in due to his nearly perfect shooting from the free throw line where he went 21-22. As a team, Los Angeles did a great job drawing fouls and went 41-46 from the charity stripe.
Deandre Ayton also stepped up for the Lakers finishing with 22 points and 15 rebounds.
The Lakers now travel home for the second night of a back-to-back against the Portland Trail Blazers.
