The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that the man was “working for a vendor on behalf of NBC Sports." Pittsburgh Public Safety issued a statement on the incident on Sunday morning.

It read: "At approximately 10:00 p.m., Pittsburgh EMS, Fire, and Police responded to Acrisure Stadium for reports of a male worker who had fallen from a height.

"Arriving first responders learned from other personnel working in the stadium that the male had fallen about 50 feet from the main scoreboard to a mid-level catwalk area.

"Rescue medics and firefighters were able to reach the patient, stabilize him, and load him into a Stokes basket, before lowering him to a waiting ambulance using a rope system.

"The male suffered severe injuries mainly to his lower extremities and was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Detectives from Pittsburgh Police headquarters utilized drones to document the scene."

Crews were working late at Accrisure Stadium to install TV equipment for SNF after Pitt's college football victory over NC State.

The Steelers also issued a statement, which read: "An incident occurred last night at Acrisure Stadium as crews were preparing for the Sunday Night Football game.

The incident soured what was a blockbuster matchup at Accrisure Stadium, with Steelers QB Rodgers taking on the Packers for the first time since his departure in 2022.

Everything was going to plan for the Steelers, who led 16-7 at the half, but they allowed 21 fourth-quarter points as Jordan Love and the Packers (5-1-1) surged to a 35-25 victory.

The Steelers lost for the second successive week to fall to 4-3 on the season, but they remain top of the AFC North after the Cincinnati Bengals were beaten by the New York Jets.
