Adam Aznou hasn’t enjoyed a good start at Everton since joining them from Bayern Munich in July.
The left-back is yet to make his debut for the Toffees and played two matches for Everton U21s so far.
Vitaliy Mykolenko is the first choice left-back at Everton and an injury forced him to miss the start of the season. In his absence, David Moyes overlooked Aznou and used James Garner on the left side of the defence.
Aznou doesn’t seem pleased with his situation at Everton and Africa Foot now report he’s ‘seriously considering’ a move to La Liga in the winter market.
The Bundesliga winners signed the Spain-born Morocco international from Barcelona for their academy in 2022. He wasn’t able to cement a place at Bayern Munich, who had sent him on loan to Real Valladolid in January.
Last summer, he had an opportunity to join Getafe. Africa Foot report they came close to securing the 19-year-old’s services before the deal collapsed due to a disagreement over the purchase obligation.
This allowed Everton to complete his signing, but the move hasn’t worked out so far. His situation is unlikely to change in the near future. Therefore, Aznou is keen on returning to Spain in January and the report state Getafe are the ‘main contender’.
It’s claimed Everton are open to sanctioning a loan move to let the youngster continue his development in a ‘favourable environment’.
This favours Getafe to make a second attempt to sign the fullback.
