Estevao Willian arrived at Chelsea in the summer, but that has not stopped the club from looking at Lennart Karl.
The Bayern Munich youngster is around the same age as Estevao and also plays the same position as the Brazilian.
Nevertheless, it has been claimed that Chelsea are interested in signing Karl from the Bundesliga champions.
With all of the above in mind, how does the 17-year-old compare to Estevao?

Estevao Willian’s and Lennart Karl’s stats very similar
Estevao and Karl have both managed to score one goal and provide one assist in their respective divisions this season so far.
However, the former has played significantly more minutes than the latter, who is competing against Michael Olise and Harry Kane for a place in Vincent Kompany’s team.
In Bayern’s 3-0 win against Borussia Monchengladbach over the weekend, Kane started behind the striker, where Karl can also play.
When it comes to key passes, Estevao and Karl also have similar averages, but the Brazil international is completing more successful dribbles per league game.

Ultimately, like Estevao, Karl is on the right trajectory. Looking at Chelsea’s current transfer policy, it is not a surprise to hear that the German is someone they are currently watching.
Estevao earned some praise from the Brazilian media last Saturday, but he was unable to prevent his side from losing against Sunderland.

No need for Chelsea to sign Lennart Karl
Karl has a lot of talent and a high ceiling, but Chelsea already have Estevao and will welcome Geovany Quenda from Sporting Lisbon next summer.
Pedro Neto has impressed this season, scoring in the Club World Cup winners’ last Premier League victory over Nottingham Forest, so that is another right-wing option for Enzo Maresca.
There is no room for Karl, and if rumours are true, the Germany youth international could cost up to €80m (£69.8m). That is a lot of money for a teenager Chelsea do not even need.
