Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City have Bayern Munich’s Lennart Karl on their radar.
That’s according to Monday’s edition of Bild, who cover an update from journalist Christian Falk about the Premier League trio.
Falk reported on Welt TV on Sunday that Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City scouts are all watching the ‘rising star’ live in action.
Karl joined the Bundesliga winners’ academy from Viktoria Aschaffenburg in 2022. Despite being 17 years of age, he has climbed through the ranks and made his first team debut at the Club World Cup.
He’s scored two goals and contributed one assist from 11 matches for Vincent Kompany’s side this season. The report focuses on whether Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann should include him in his squad for November’s fixtures.
Falk then talked about Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City sending officials to watch Karl.
Bild state the youngster is represented by former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack, who negotiated Karl’s renewal [until 2028] in August. It’s unclear if the Ballack connection can give the Blues an edge over the Gunners and Pep Guardiola’s side.
