Tyler Lockett has found a new football home.
The former Seattle Seahawks star wide receiver spent the early stages of this season with the Tennessee Titans, but that didn't work out, and he got his release.
Now, Lockett is signing with the Las Vegas Raiders, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
It's a chance for Lockett to catch passes from one of his former Seattle QBs, Geno Smith, and his coach, Pete Carroll.

Lockett is 33 years old now and certainly past his prime, but he can definitely be a contributor.
In 2024 with the Seahawks, with Smith, he caught 49 passes for 600 yards. The year prior, he had 79 for 894, and the year before that, he had 84 for 1,033.
Lockett had four consecutive 1,000-yard seasons from 2019 through 2022.
This season, Lockett played in seven games with the Titans before his release. In that time, he had 10 catches (on 21 targets) for 70 yards as rookie QB Cam Ward struggled with his consistency.

It's cool that Lockett can link back up with Smith, but it may not be the winningest situation.
The Raiders are just 2-5 through Week 8. The other three teams in the AFC West all have winning records, with the Broncos (6-2), Chargers (5-3) and Chiefs (4-3 before Monday night) all well out in front of Vegas.
This likely won't be a chance at a playoff push for Lockett. Instead, it's just a chance to be back with Smith and Carroll in what will likely be a more comfortable environment for him as his career slowly winds down.
