Tim Sherwood has come out and made the bold claim that Everton have two players who simply aren’t good enough after the 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
David Moyes’ side were unlucky to lose by such a margin yesterday, but ultimately, there are glaringly obvious issues throughout the side.
Jake O’Brien has covered well in the right-back role and was unfortunate not to score yesterday, but he probably needs to move back to centre-back to allow a more attack-minded full-back a chance.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been out of form recently, and the number 10 role is starting to look like it doesn’t really suit his playstyle.
And of course, Everton’s striker situation, which Tim Sherwood addressed after the game.

Tim Sherwood makes brutally honest Beto and Thierno Barry claim
Speaking on Premier League Productions, Sherwood was absolutely bang on with his assessment of Beto and Thierno Barry, noting that Moyes knows they just aren’t up to the required standard.
“Sometimes, you can protect strikers and say they are not getting the chances,” the former Tottenham boss explained.
“But they are putting so many crosses into the box. They cross the ball more than most teams from left side to right side. The quality of the crosses might not always be fantastic but Beto is too isolated when he’s in the box.

“Whether it’s Barry or not, it’s too isolated when he’s there. He is very reluctant to play both of them because they’re not good enough. The bottom line is they’re not good enough and are showing they are not good enough.
He is trying to help them out and find the solution as best as he can, David Moyes. They have got very good players; (Kiernan) Dewsbury-Hall is great, Jack Grealish we know, Ndiaye is a little superstar but they have got no focal point. They have got no-one to play off or make runs off.”
David Moyes clearly agrees with Tim Sherwood
Moyes won’t say it, of course, but it’s become quite clear that he agrees with the point Sherwood is saying.
That’s evinced by the fact Everton are considering signing a striker in January, with Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee linked.
It was reported earlier this month that Moyes sees Barry as a project signing anyway, so he was well aware that it would take time for him to become a Premier League-ready centre-forward.
Barry and Beto have scored just one Premier League goal between them this season, and their profligate nature is clearly holding Everton back.
Perhaps Ndiaye should be trialled as a false nine until the January window swings around.
