Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes has revealed he has 'never played with someone with the same characteristics' as club record signing Nick Woltemade.
Woltemade has made an instant impact since joining the club from Stuttgart in the summer following a £69million move., scoring five goals in all competitions.
He has become an instant hit with Newcastle supporters, but also with his team-mates too and head coach Eddie Howe has waxed lyrical about how quickly he has settled into life at St James' Park.
But it is perhaps Woltemade's work away from goal that has been most impressive. He is excellent with the ball at his feet and his ability to pick up clever pockets of space and get the wingers and midfielders into dangerous positions has been so important to the way Howe's team have adapted to the post-Alexander Isak era.

And Guimaraes has reflected that with his latest comments, revealing how Woltemade's presence has allowed the midfielders to get into the box more to try and influence games.
"I have never played with someone with the same characteristics as Nick," Guimaraes told the matchday programme ahead of Newcastle's 2-1 win over Fulham.
"He is a different player, I like to play with him. He is not just a number nine, he always comes to be a number ten and always finds the gap. Most important is that he always finds the net, so I like him a lot.
"He is a player that nobody can leave in a one-v-one situation. The crosses, every time he attracts two players with him so there are gaps in the box for us midfielders to get into the box and help him score more.
"He has been amazing for us, I am enjoying playing with him a lot and I hope for him he is enjoying the love of the crowd. It is just the beginning but an exciting beginning for him."
