Luka Vuskovic appreciated Tottenham’s project
Luka Vuskovic has explained that Tottenham Hotspur’s ‘great project’ offer appealed to him much more than joining Manchester City.
The 18-year-old made it clear that he didn’t want to become ‘just a number’ at City, with Spurs showing a clear pathway into the first team.
Currently, Vuskovic is behind Van de Ven and Romero at Spurs, but his potential could well see him overtake either in the near future.
Speaking about why he picked Spurs, Vuskovic told Sport Klub: “I think Tottenham was a perfect fit because they presented me with a great project. Manchester City has many, many, many young players.
“I didn’t want to be just a number. At Tottenham, they presented me as one of the top projects. And that really meant a lot to me at that moment. That was the deciding factor, let’s say.”
The Croatian international’s attitude appears to be top draw, with Vuskovic having also explained why he left Tottenham on loan to get more first-team minutes.
Luka Vuskovic reveals his dream club
The youngster has suggested that Real Madrid would be his dream move in the future, but insisted he only supports Hajduk Split.
“Well… Real Madrid is Real Madrid, but every club you play for is an honour and a privilege. I don’t have a special club other than Hajduk,” added Vuksovic.
