It took almost half a season, but the Eagles' vaunted rushing attack finally made its return Sunday at the Linc. The Eagles entered the game averaging just 96.2 rushing yards per game, ranking 23rd in the league.
The Eagles churned out a monster 276 yards on 33 carries — their first 200+ yard rushing day since the divisional playoffs. Saquon Barkley led the charge with a 65-yard untouched burst to the house on his first carry, pacing him to 150 yards on 14 carries, adding another 24 yards and another touchdown on four catches. Before leaving with a groin injury in the fourth quarter, Barkley repeatedly gashed the Giants' defense, as if quieting all those doubting whether he still had that burst.
Entering Sunday, Saquon Barkley’s longest rush this season was 17 yards.
Against the Giants, Barkley had rushes of 65 yards, 28 yards, and two of 18 yards.
“I told you all it was the same Saquon,” Landon Dickerson said.

Eagles' offensive line leads the way
Barkley was quick to praise his offensive line for their efforts. The maligned unit turned in its best overall effort of the season, clearing holes for Barkley and Tank Bigsby all game long. Bigsby spelled Barkley with an outstanding 104 yards on nine carries, including picking up a first down on a second and 31 after Jalen Hurts got dropped for a huge loss on the previous play. His efforts allowed Barkley to take a cautious approach and avoid further injury to his groin.

The already banged up line managed to get through the game without any further injuries. The upcoming bye week should hopefully help some of the big men heal up for the second-half push.
Kevin Patullo finds his groove
No one has caught more flak this season than offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo. However, you've gotta tip your cap to him today. Patullo put Hurts under center much more today, and it often led to success against the Giants. The offense looked much more fluid and a lot less predictable overall. We knew Patullo could script a sequence well, but today was the first game where he looked comfortable and consistent throughout.
Head coach Nick Sirianni praised Patullo after the game, saying, "Kevin's done a really good job of is being able to block out anything that could be a distraction for him and working like crazy to put himself in the best to call the best game that he can each week regardless of what's going on."

So has the rushing attack turned the corner — or was this a one-off against a bad team? Time will tell, but the signs are certainly encouraging.
