Micah Parsons and the Green Bay Packers turned heads once again on Sunday, with a masterful performance in their showdown against Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road.
Parsons did not exactly have a shiny stat line, but he still was a big factor on defense. He came away with just a tackle and a sack to go with a quarterback hit, while attracting plenty of attention from the Steelers to open things up for his teammates.
Meanwhile, Packers quarterback Jordan Love sizzled under center. Love made many great throws, as he and Tucker Kraft led Green Bay’s attack that generated 454 total yards to just 295 by the Steelers.

Several Packers players delivered solid performances against the Steelers, and Love arguably had the best of them all.
Love accumulated 360 passing yards and passed for three touchdowns while keeping the ball safe. He had zero turnovers and no sacks taken. Love even tied a franchise mark set previously by Brett Favre when he completed a pass attempt 20 times in a row against Pittsburgh. That he did it while in a duel with Rodgers was something that can be perfectly described as poetic.
Parsons had another way to sum up Love’s big night.
“He showed why he’s the (successor),” Parsons said of the quarterback after the game, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN). “I mean, he’s the up-and-coming. Like Jay Love, when I talking about when I was coming here, I was like, ‘I know they got a quarterback.’”
At 5-1-1, Parsons and the Packers have something to celebrate over the next several days before they get back on the field to deal with the Carolina Panthers at home in Week 9.
