New Orleans Pelicans’ forward Zion Williamson was added to the team’s injury report Monday afternoon.
After two productive games to start the season, Williamson is listed as “questionable” for Monday’s game at Smoothie King Center against the Boston Celtics.
Williamson is dealing with a bone contusion on his left foot.
He wasn’t listed on the original injury report released by the team on Monday morning.
The initial injury report had two players listed as out for the game: Kevin Looney (left knee sprain) and Dejounte Murray (right Achilles rupture). Two more players were listed as questionable on the initial report: Yves Missi (right ankle sprain) and Karlo Matkovic(low back spasms).
Williamson averaged 27 points, 9.5rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals in losses to the Memphis Grizzlies and San Antonio Spurs .
His four steals per game are tied with Tre Jones (Chicago Bulls) for most in the NBA.
He played 36:59 in Friday’s overtime loss to the Spurs, the most minutes he’s played in a game since the 2023- ’24 season.
Monday’s game between the Pelicans (0-2) and Celtics (0-3) tips off at 7 p.m.
