The San Antonio Spurs went undefeated in preseason play and they’re now 3-0 in the regular season. Tonight, the Spurs will attempt to keep their unbeaten streak alive versus the Toronto Raptors at the Frost Bank Center. The Raptors enter the game with a record of 1-2.

Yesterday, San Antonio defeated the Brooklyn Nets in a contest that saw the Spurs blow a 26-point lead before rallying in the fourth quarter to secure the 118-107 victory (see the Grades). Victor Wembanyama led the way with 31 points, 14 rebounds, six blocks, four assists and three steals.

While Wembanyama was great, Dylan Harper specifically deserves a round of applause. The rookie who was selected with the second pick of the 2025 NBA Draft finished with 20 points, eight assists, six rebounds, two steals and no turnovers. In 29 minutes, he finished with a game high plus/minus of +33 and was 8-for-11 from the field and 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

After blowing out the Atlanta Hawks in their season opener, the Raptors are coming off of a pair of losses to the Milwaukee Bucks and yesterday to the Dallas Mavericks.

San Antonio Spurs Injury Update

Unfortunately, San Antonio’s injury situation isn’t getting better. The Spurs were missing five players against the Nets and those five players will miss tonight’s contest versus the Raptors.

De’Aaron Fox, Jeremy Sochan, Luke Kornet, Lindy Waters III and Kelly Olynyk are all expected to be able to return relatively soon — but none are ready to return tonight.

San Antonio Spurs Starting Lineup

It’s safe to say that head coach Mitch Johnson won’t tinker with the starting lineup that has led San Antonio to its 3-0 record. That starting five has Victor Wembanyama at center, Harrison Barnes at power forward, Julian Champagnie at small forward, Devin Vassell at shooting guard and Stephon Castle at point guard.

Off the bench, Dylan Harper will undoubtedly get plenty of minutes. Keldon Johnson, who also played really well versus Brooklyn, will get a lot of minutes, too.

Betting Guide: Spurs vs. Raptors

The Spurs are favored by 4.5 points and the over/under is 232.5 points. The smart money is on the Spurs winning by five or more points. This game being the second night of a back-to-back makes it a little bit more difficult to be super confident in San Antonio but the Spurs will be at home against a Raptors squad that is also playing on the second night of a back-to-back.
