Tonight’s ‘Sports Equinox’ will showcase games throughout the NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL

Tonight, Monday October 27, is one of those nights that all sports fans dream of. It’s like Christmas has come early as all four major professional sports leagues will be in action tonight for a ‘Sports Equinox.’

This is only the 32nd occasion in history that games will be played across the board in the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL all on the same day, as per Joe Pompliano.

There are multiple games to tune into for sports fans but perhaps the biggest one happening tonight in terms of stakes will be Game 3 of the World Series between the Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers.

With the series tied at one apiece after an offensive explosion from the Blue Jays in Game 1, and an outstanding pitching performance from the Dodgers’ Yoshinobu Yamamoto in Game 2, tonight’s game proves to be a truly pivotal one as this year’s ‘Fall Classic’ shifts to LA.

On Monday Night Football, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will face the Washington Commanders at Arrowhead. Unfortunately, a hamstring injury will sideline Jayden Daniels, as per Yahoo Sports, robbing fans of what would have been an amazing QB duel between last season’s Offensive Rookie of the Year and Mahomes.

The NBA slate will be jam-packed with 11 different games set to take place. Peacock will be airing a doubleheader with the Cleveland Cavaliers set to take on their Eastern Conference rivals in the Detroit Pistons, followed by Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets squaring off against the Minnesota Timberwolves, who will be without Anthony Edwards due to injury, as per ESPN NBA Insider Shams Charania.

There aren’t as many games on the schedule in the NHL, with only two matchups happening tonight on the ice, but that shouldn’t mean the games will be any less entertaining. In an Atlantic Division clash, the Ottawa Senators will host the Boston Bruins while the Pittsburgh Penguins are at home to the St. Louis Blues.

To top it all off, there will also be first round action in the MLS Playoffs tonight with two Game 1s set to kick off between FC Cincinnati and Columbus Crew, as well as in the series that pits Minnesota United up against the Seattle Sounders.

Tonight will truly be one of the best nights of the year in sports.
