Leeds United’s top priority as they look towards the January window is surely going to be a right-winger, and there could be some Premier League opportunities opening up.
United’s start to this season after nine games has them in a very good position to push towards survival as the campaign goes on.
The recruitment team must have one eye on the January window, though. And, there’s one position that perhaps looks more important than any.

Do Leeds United still need a right-winger transfer during January window?
The one missing piece during the final stages of the summer window as a right-sided attacking midfielder. It’s a profile that has eluded Leeds throughout Daniel Farke’s time at the club, especially in the summer just gone.
Harry Wilson was the most notable failed attempt, after a deal for Facundo Buonanotte fell through. During these winter months, the club ought to keep their eye on market opportunities.

Brenden Aaronson grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck against West Ham with a goal and some dazzling trickery, but consistency has been an issue.

Leeds United surely on alert for transfer opportunity as James McAtee left out of Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest squad
A loan for the second half of the campaign might be the best bet for Leeds, not only in terms of quality, but affordability too.
James McAtee was a player on Leeds’ radar back in the Championship. Of course, Leeds were unable to secure his services from Manchester City at the time.
Now at Nottingham Forest for a £30million fee, the 23-year-old has already seen three different managers at the City Ground. The latest, Sean Dyche, doesn’t seem to have him currently high in the pecking order.
Despite right-winger Dilane Bakwa being ruled out on Sunday against Bournemouth, McAtee was left out of the matchday squad. The Nottingham Post reported that McAtee’s absence was not due to injury. His omission from the squad was purely a “selection choice” from Dyche, as Forest lost 2-0.
If he’s willing to drop from Europa League opportunities to a relegation scrap, Leeds have a right-wing spot tailor-made for someone of McAtee’s skill set.
A left-footer that loves to drift in from the right wing, knows Jayden Bogle’s game very well, and can create from wide, is someone that could be perfect for Farke’s United.
