Pat McAfee Names His Super Bowl Favorite

Eight weeks into the NFL regular season, some strong conclusions are starting to be drawn.

It’s safe to say that the Indianapolis Colts are not a fluke, and Pat McAfee recently predicted a championship for his former team.

“The Colts are gonna win The Super Bowl. This is so awesome,” McAfee wrote on X.

Of course, McAfee played his entire eight-season NFL career as the Colts’ punter and still resides in the area, so his words should be taken with a grain of salt.

Then again, they’re certainly looking like an offensive juggernaut.

They have scored the third-most points through eight games in franchise history, better than anything they ever did with Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck at quarterback.

Granted, they have only faced three playoff-caliber teams this season, but they have looked quite solid in those games, wins against the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers, and a narrow loss to the Los Angeles Rams, their only defeat of the season.

The Colts always looked to be a quarterback away from being a playoff-caliber squad.

To have Daniel Jones, of all people, be that solution is remarkable.

The New York Giants gave up on him midway through a big contract, and he’s now looking like a legitimate NFL MVP candidate under head coach Shane Steichen.

With an elite offensive line and Jonathan Taylor playing like the best running back in the game, it’s hard not to like the Colts’ chances of defeating anybody.
